Japanese title: 異世界迷宮でハーレムを
English title: Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World
Season: Summer 2022
Isekai Meikyuu is...interesting. It is another isekai fantasy anime, but the vibes that it gives me is
different from many other typical animes of this genre, which is quite abundant this season.
It's not exactly the easiest to immediately tell why, though. The storyline is relatively basic, relating
closely to a usual RPG game storyline. It's not bad in any way, despite not being too great at the same
time.
The main character is also depicted as overpowered due to the weapon he found, but at the same time quite
clumsy. It definitely lacks the feels good vibe or adrenaline pump, especially so during the combat scenes.
Again, it's not bad in any way, it just feels a little different.
The art style is also fairly average, though the quality so far seems good. Perhaps the winning point for
some viewers would be the fanservice, which I can only describe as almost borderline extreme. So fanservice,
check.
Although my expectations are low for now, I am looking forward to finishing Isekai Meikyuu. I am quite
curious how this will continue.
Things get a little out of hand yet again for Shido, with yet even more girls that he needs to date in
this
season. In my honest opinion, the concept is already getting a little old by now, so that is not the most
enjoyable part of this season.
Rather, this time the plot unfolds some information that has been kept hidden thus far. If you don't mind
a
spoiler alert: it's revealed how the Spirits came about to be.
The way it's told in this show can feel like an anticlimatic revelation, though it's still interesting to
finally figure that out nonetheless.
Overall, story and development feels just about the same as the previous seasons of this series, still
with
the relatively fast pacing. The ending is another cliff hanger, and clearly indicates that there is
another
sequel in the making.
The artwork is still as good as ever, not disappointed at all. The action scenes during combats are
especially still as great as its prequels. There are slightly less action scenes in this season, however.
And, of course, fanservice still included.
If you are interested in watching this, it's practically required to watch from the very beginning of the
series. If you have been an avid follower of this series, then I say this season is a good watch.
